Flexform outdoor furniture in Miami
Miami uses outdoor furniture twelve months a year, which is the best argument for buying it once and buying it well. It also has salt air and a hurricane season, and both of those change what you should order.
Salt air
On the water, metal is the part that goes first. Flexform uses die cast zama feet with a burnished titanium finish and stainless or powder coated components, but nothing survives salt without rinsing. Fresh water on the frames every few weeks is the whole maintenance routine.
Solid iroko handles the climate better than metal does. It is a dense hardwood, it moves very little, and left unoiled it silvers rather than splitting. If the terrace is directly on the bay, iroko is the frame to ask for.
Storm season
- StorageJune to November. Cushions and loose pieces come in, and there has to be somewhere for them to go.
- Weight helpsA Flexform sectional on iroko is heavy enough to stay put in ordinary weather. It is not heavy enough for a named storm.

- Replacement partsOrder a spare set of cushion covers with the furniture. Matching a fabric lot two years later is the thing that fails.
Delivery
