Flexform pieces ready to ship
Most Flexform furniture is built to order in Meda and the wait is measured in months. Some pieces move faster: current production runs, showroom stock and finishes the factory keeps going. This page is where we put them.

Who makes it
Flexform has been upholstering furniture in Meda since 1959. Meda sits in Brianza, the strip of Lombardy north of Milan where most of the Italian furniture industry is, and the factory is still in the town it started in.
The outdoor range uses the same frame shop and the same upholstery benches as the indoor one. The specifications the factory publishes are specific enough to check against the piece when it arrives: solid iroko, marine plywood, die cast zama feet with a titanium finish, removable covers.
What ready to ship means here
It does not mean a warehouse in New Jersey with a hundred sofas in it. It means we know which collections the factory is running now, which finishes are in the current cycle, and where a piece can be pulled from a showroom.
Send us what you want and the date you need it. If the piece is in a current run we will say so and give a real date. If it is not, we will say that too, and give the production lead time rather than a guess.

Seating is most of it. If you are furnishing a terrace from nothing, the order usually runs sofa first, then lounge chairs, then a low table, then the ottomans six months later.

Lead time depends on the finish and the fabric you pick, so it is quoted with the price rather than promised here. The list is gone through once or twice a week.
What moves the price
There is no list price on this site. These are the things that change the figure.

| Size and count | A sectional is priced by element. Two extra seats is a different order, not a percentage. |
| Frame finish | Iroko comes natural, stained grey, stained brown or lacquered white. Lacquer costs more than oil. |
| Fabric | Outdoor ranges are graded. The grade moves the price more than anything except size. |
| Covers | The weather cover is an option with an upcharge. Flexform recommends it on most outdoor pieces. |
| Shipping leg | Sea freight from Italy, then a truck. A fourth floor with no lift is a different quote from a loading dock. |
| Duties and taxes | Charged on import and on sale. They change, so we quote them at the time rather than publishing a number. |
Duty rates, certification and labelling for imported upholstered furniture change from year to year, which is why no figures for them are printed on this site.
